Automatic mode
When operating the climate control system in
automatic mode, the interior air temperature,
air volume and air distribution are adjusted
automatically.
In automatic mode, cooling with
dehumidification is switched on. This function
can be switched off if necessary.

Warning!
If you switch off the cooling function, the
vehicle will not be cooled when weather
conditions are warm. The windows can fog
up more quickly. Window fogging may
impair visibility and endanger you and
others.

Activating: Press button U.
The AUTO indicator for automatic air volume
and air distribution in display 4
(Y page 180) comes on. The air volume and
air distribution are adjusted automatically.

Deactivating: Press button · or Q.
The AUTO indicator for air volume in display
4 (Y page 180) goes out. The automatic
operation of air volume switches off, and
air volume is controlled according to the
desired setting. Automatic air distribution
remains switched on.

Turn air distribution control 1 or 7
(Y page 182) on each side of the passenger
compartment to the desired symbol. The
indicator lamp in the corresponding button
goes out. Automatic air distribution is
switched off in the corresponding zone, and
air distribution is controlled according to
the desired position. Automatic air volume
remains switched on.
Setting temperature
Dual-zone automatic climate control
You can adjust the air temperature on each
side of the passenger compartment. You
should raise or lower the temperature setting
in small increments, preferably starting at
72‡ (22†).

Increasing/decreasing: Turn
temperature controls 1 and 7
(Y page 180) slightly clockwise or
counterclockwise.
