You can use your PPC4100 Pocket PC to exchange
information with other mobile devices and connect to
your computer, a network, or the Internet. You have the
following connection options:
!
Use the infrared (IR) port on your device to send and
receive files from another IR-enabled device.
!
Connect to your mobile Internet service provider
(ISP). Once connected, you can send and receive email
messages by using Inbox and view Web or WAP pages
by using Pocket Internet Explorer.
The communication software for creating an ISP
connection is already installed on your device. Your
service provider will provide software needed to install
other services, such as paging and fax services.
!
Connect to the virtual private network (VPN) at the
company or organization where you work. Once
connected, the added security of a VPN means that you
can access the full resources of your company’s
network. For example, you can use File Explorer to
access the files of computers on that network.
