ip ospf priority
To determine the designated router for the OSPF network, set the priority of the interface.

Syntax
ip ospf priority number
To return to the default setting, use the no ip ospf priority command.
Parameters
number Enter a number as the priority. The range is from 0 to 255.
The default is 1.

Usage
Information
Setting a priority of 0 makes the router ineligible for election as a designated router
or backup designated router.
Use this command for interfaces connected to multi-access networks, not point-
to-point networks.
