Basic operation
1. Push <ROUTE>.
2. Highlight [Guidance Settings] and push
<ENTER>.
3. Highlight the preferred item and push
<ENTER>.
4. Push <BACK> to return to the previous
scre en. Push <MAP> to return to the
current location map screen.
Available setting items
. Guidance Screen Default:
Sets the default display screen for route
guidance.
“Visual guidance settings” (page 5-
18)
. Route Guida nce:
Activa tes or deactivates route guidance.
Route guidance is activated when the
indicator illuminates. Route information is
not available when route guidance is set to
OFF.
. Guidance Voice:
Activates or deactivates voice guidance. The
indicator illuminates if voice guidance is
activated.
. Traffic Info. Settings:
Allows you to apply settings such as
performing a route search with traffic
information taken into considerat ion.
. Estimated Travel Time:
Switches the display of estimated travel time
to the destination or waypoint that is
displayed on the map screen.
. Exit Info. on Turn List:
Sets the information icon displayed in the
turn list to ON/OFF.
. Turning Point Sound:
Sets the guide point sound to ON/OFF.
. Small Turn Arrow on Map:
Activates or deactivates the Small Turn
Arrow on Map (simplified turn indicator)
displayed in the upper left corner of the map
screen. The indicator illuminates if the Small
Turn Arrow on Map is displayed.
. Voice Announcements:
Sets how many times voice guidance is
repeated for guide points.

. Set Average Speeds:
Allows you to set an average vehicle speed
for each type of road, which is reflected in
the calculation of the required time to the
destination.

Visual guidance settings
The guidance screen can be displayed at all
times even when the vehicle is located away
from the guide point. You can choose which
screen is to be displayed.
1. Push <ROUTE>.
2. Highlight [Guidance Settings] and push
<ENTER>.
3. Highlight [Guidance Screen Default] and
push <ENTER>.
4. The indicator of the selected type of
guidance illuminates.
