TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Verify the location of all Intelligent Keys that are
programmed for the vehicle. If another Intelligent
Key is in range or inside the vehicle, the vehicle
system may respond differently than expected.
Symptom Possible Cause Remedy
When pushing the ignition switchto stop
the engine
The SHIFT P warning appearson thedis-
play and the inside warningchime sounds
continuously.
The shift selector is notin theP position.
Shift the shift selector tothe Pposition.
When opening the driver’s doorto getout
of the vehicle
The inside warning chime sounds
continuously.
The ignition switch is inthe ACCposition.
Place the ignition switch inthe OFF
position.
The Intelligent Key is in the Intelligent Key
port.
Remove the Intelligent Key from the Intelli-
gent Key port.
When closing the door aftergetting outof
the vehicle
The NO KEY warning appearson the
display, the outside chime sounds 3 times
and the inside warning chimesounds for
approximately 3 seconds.
The ignition switch is inthe ACCor ON
position.
Place the ignition switch inthe OFF
position.
The NO KEY warning appearson thedis-
play and the outside chimesounds
continuously.
The ignition switch is inthe ACCposition
and the shift selector isnot inthe P (Park)
position.
Move the shift selector tothe P(Park) posi-
tion and place the ignitionswitch inthe
OFF position.
When closing the door withthe insidelock
knob turned to LOCK
The outside chime sounds forapproximately
3 seconds and all thedoors unlock.
The Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle or
trunk.
Carry the Intelligent Key with you.
When closing the trunk lid
The outside chime sounds forapproximately
10 seconds and the trunklid opens.
The Intelligent Key is inside the trunk.
Carry the Intelligent Key with you.
