time ranges and sunrise/sunset info may not be available for a few
stations). The solid, light vertical lines represent 4-hour increments,
and the light, dotted vertical lines represent 1-hour increments. A
gray, vertical line (with a block at the top displaying time) indicates
the time of day when using current date and intersects the tide graph
to show their relation.
The tide curve appears as a shaded area; higher tides are taller and
lower tides are shorter. The gray, horizontal line (with a block at the
left displaying depth) indicates the current tide height. The Mean
Lower Low Water (MLLW) appears as a solid, horizontal line near
the bottom of the chart (this line only appears if the tide ranges to
zero or below). The numbers directly below/above LCL and STA
indicate the maximum/minimum levels, respectively. The four data
fields below the chart indicate event times and levels at which the tide
changes.
Searching for Tide Stations
To view the chart for a tide station near your current
location:
1. From the Tide tab, press FIND, select Tide Stations and
press ENTER.
2. Press MENU and select Nearest to Vessel. Select the desired
station from the list and press ENTER.
3. Highlight Show Chart and press ENTER. Selecting Next
returns to the list with the next station highlighted.
