Installing the Batteries
The Geko 201 operates on two AAA batteries (not included), installed in the back of
the unit. To install the batteries, remove the battery cover by inserting a coin in the bottom
slot. Twist the coin to lift the cover up and pull away. Insert the batteries, observing proper
polarity. Attach the battery cover by inserting the tab end into the back slot at an angle,
laying it fl at, and then pushing it forward until the clip catches. Alkaline batteries should
last as long as 12 hours. Rechargeable Alkaline, NiMH, NiCad or Lithium batteries may be
used, but cannot be charged while in the unit.
NOTE: If you intend to store your Geko 201 for an extended period of time,
remove the batteries. Follow the battery manufacturer’s instructions for the
proper care and handling of the batteries.
