7. MAINTENANCE,
TROUBLESHOOTING
This chapter provides information necessary for keeping your unit in good
working order and remedying simple problems.
WARNING
Do not open the equipment.
Hazardous voltage which can
cause electrical shock exists
inside the equipment. Only
qualified personnel should
work inside the equipment.
7.1 Preventive Maintenance
Regular maintenance is important for optimum performance. A maintenance
program should be established and should at least include the items shown in
the table below.

Check for tight connection. Tighten loosened connectors.
LCD
The LCD will, in time,
accumulate a coating of
dust which tends to dim the
picture.
Wipe the LCD carefully to prevent
scratching, using tissue paper and
an LCD cleaner. To remove dirt or
salt deposits, use an LCD cleaner,
wiping slowly with tissue paper so as
to dissolve the dirt or salt. Change
paper frequently so the salt or dirt
will not scratch the LCD. Do not use
solvents such as thinner, acetone or
benzene for cleaning.
Ground terminal
Check for tight connection
and corrosion.
Clean or replace ground wire as
necessary.
