Usage Precautions
The Motion Sensor MS-100 compensates for ship’s pitching and rolling. However, it does
not compensate for load unbalance.
If the equipment will not be used for a long time, shut off the power to it at the mains
switchboard, to prevent battery discharge.
If the soundome is to be operated while the ship is dry-docked, set the transmitter output
power to “minimum” (on the COM1 menu). Damage to the train-tilt section may result if it
is operated with maximum transmitter power while the ship is dry-docked.
When the ship is dry-docked check for signs of corrosion on the soundome. Find the
reason for the corrosion and attach a zinc plate to the hull unit as an anticorrosion
measure if necessary.
