102
Do not use this HomeLink Transmitter with any
garage door opener that lacks safety “stop” and
“reverse” features as required by federal safety
standards, (this includes any garage door opener
model manufactured before April 1, 1982). A garage
door opener which cannot “detect” an object in the
path of a closing door and then automatically “stop”
and “reverse” the door, does not meet current
federal safety standards. Using a garage door opener
without these features increases risk of serious
injury or death. For more information on this
matter, call toll-free: 1-800-355-3515.
Programming
If after repeated attempts you do not successfully
program the HomeLink Universal Transmitter to
learn the signal of the hand-held transmitter, call
toll-free for customer assistance: 1-800-355-3515.
1. If you have previously programmed your
HomeLink Transmitter, proceed to step 2.
Otherwise, hold down the two outside buttons
on the HomeLink Transmitter until the red
light begins to flash. Release both buttons.
2. Decide which one of the three channels you
want to program.
3. Hold the end of your hand-held transmitter
against the front surface of the HomeLink
Transmitter so that you can still see the red
light.
