Oil Check
The dipstick/oil fill (1) is l ocated on the engine on the left side of the
ATV. Do not start the engine before the oil check.
NOTE: A rising oil level between c hecks in c ool weather dr iving can
indicate contaminants such as gas or moisture c ollecting in
the c rankcase. If the oil level is over the f ull/safe mark,
change the oil immediately.
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Remove the dipstick and wipe it dry
with a c lean cloth.
NOTE: Lift the lever lock (2) to remove
the dipstick.
3. Reinstall the dipstick completely, but
do not lock it. The dipstick must be
completely seated.
4. Remove the dipstick
and check the oil level.
Maintain the oil level
between the SAFE
and ADD m arks (3).
Do not overfill.
NOTE: Due to the dipstick
entry angle i nto the
crankcase, the oil level
will read higher on the
bottom s ide of the dipstick.
Always read the level on
the upper surface (4) of
the dipstick.
5. After reinstalling the dipstick,
seat the lever l ock.
