Parking Brake
WARNING
Operating the ATV while the parking br ake is engaged c ould
result in an accident and serious injury or deat h. Always check t o
be sure the parking br ake is disengaged before oper ating.
Locking the Parking Brake
1. Place the transmission in
PARK.
2. Squeeze an d release the
brake lever two o r three
times, then squeeze and
hold.
3. Push the park brake lock (1)
forward to engage the
brake. Release the brake
lever.
4. To release the parking brake lock, squeeze and release t he brake
lever. It will return to its unlocked position.
Important Safeguards
S The parking brake may relax if left on for a l ong period of time. Al-
ways block the wheels t o prevent rolling.
S Always block the wheels on the downhill side of the ATV if leaving
it parked on a hill. Another option is to park the ATV in a sidehill
position.
S Never depend on the parking brake alone if the ATV is parked on a
hill. Always block the wheels to prevent rolling.
