HOW TO AVOID
THE
HAZARD
Maintain steady s peed
when climbing a hill.
If all forward speed is
lost:
Keep your weight uphill.
Apply the single lever brake gradually.
When fully stopped, apply the auxiliary rear brake as well, then
lock the parking brake.
If the ATV begins rolling
backwards:
Keep weight uphill.
Never apply engine power.
Never apply the auxiliary r ear brake while rolling backwards.
Apply the single-lever b rake gradually.
When fully stopped, apply the auxiliary rear brake as well, and
then loc k the par king brake.
Dismount on uphill side, or to either side if ATV i s pointed s traight
uphill.
T urn the ATV around and remount, following the procedure
described in the owner’s manual. See page 57.
