OPERATION
Driving in Reverse
Follow these precautions when operating in reverse:
1. Always check for
obstacles or people
behind the vehicle.
2. Always avoid
backing downhill.
3. Back slowly.
4. Apply the brakes
lightly for stopping.
5. Avoid turning at sharp
angles.
6. Never open the throttle suddenly.
WARNING
Failure to use caution when operating in r everse can result i n
serious injury or deat h. Before s hifting into reverse, always check
for obstacles or people behind the vehicle. When it ’s safe to
proceed, back slowly.
Do not use the override switch unles s additional power is required
for vehicle movement. Use with caution.
Avoid backing on inclines, and avoid turning at sharp angles .
NOTE: Your Polaris ATV is equipped with a r everse speed limiter.
The override button should be used with c aution as rearward
vehicle s peed is greatly increased. Do not operate at wide
open throttle. Open the t hrottle j ust enough to maintain a
desired s peed.
CAUTION
Excessive throttle operation while in the speed limit mode may
cause fuel to build in the exhaust, resulting in engine popping
and/or engine damage.
