Battery
Battery Storage
Whenever the vehicle is not used for a period of three months or more,
remove the b attery fro m the vehicle, ensure t hat it’s fully charged, and
store i t out o f the s un in a c ool, dry place. Check b attery v oltage each
month during s torage an d recharge as needed to maintain a full charge.
NOTE: Power plug leads may need to be bent down so that the
battery cover can be installed.
NOTE: Battery charge can be maintained by using a Polaris Battery
Tender charger or by charging about once a m onth to make
up for normal self-discharge. B attery Tender can be left
connected during the storage period, and will automatically
charge the battery if the voltage drops below a
pre-determined point.
Replenishing Battery Fluid
A poorly maintained battery will
deteriorate rapidly. Check the
battery fluid level often. The fluid
level should be kept between the
upper and lower level marks (1).
To refill use only distilled water.
Tap w ater contains minerals that are
harmful t o a battery.
