The following table shows the hard-drive carrier type and hard-drive size,
type, and height, and drive capacity for a supported configuration.
NOTE: X in the following table indicates not supported.

expander configuration modes.
Hard-Drive Installation Guidelines
The following are the recommended guidelines when installing hard-drives.
• Standard and flexible hard-drive carriers can be mixed in single- and dual-
port mode configuration.
• Intermixing expansion hard-drive carriers and standard or flexible carriers
is not supported.
• The sled only supports SAS hard-drives in dual-port mode configuration.
• Use only SSD hard-drives when configuring the SAS expander in
expansion mode configuration.
