8 Working with the Map
8.1 Maps
Even if you have stored several navigation maps on the SD Memory
Card in your navigation system, it can only operate with one map at a
time.
In the M
ENU window, tap Settings > Current Map in order to see which
map is currently being used. You can also select another map here.
8.2 Map in Standard Mode
The map is always in Standard mode when you are not navigating,
when you have not calculated a route, and when no destination is being
searched for on the map.
The following characteristics are typical of this view:
Your current position is indicated by a triangle in red in the middle of the
lower third. If you move, the position of the triangle will not move on the
screen. Instead, the visible map section will scroll, corresponding to
your position.
The system selects the scale of the map depending on your current
speed.
► Tap the (Destination Search) to open the map in
Destination Search mode.
