11. Click Dial on your dial-up connection screen. The icon appears on the
task bar after the successful dial-up connection.
12. To end the connection, right-click on the
icon on the desktop computer
and select Disconnect. Or, tap the
Deactivate soft key on A701.
NOTE: Depending on your service provider, the Access Point Name (APN) for you to enter
in Step 9 may not internet. Consult your service provider for the correct APN.
6.11 Terminal Services Client
Using Terminal Services Client, you can log on to a desktop computer running
Terminal Services or Remote Desktop, and use all of the programs available on
that computer from your A701. For example, instead of running Word Mobile,
you can run the desktop computer version of Word and access all of the .doc
files on that computer from A701.
Connecting to a Remote Server
Before you try to connect to a remote server, make sure that you have a
functioning connection. (See section
7.1 for information on connections.)
1. Tap
Programs Terminal Services Client.
2. Do one of the following:
To connect to a server you have previously connected to, in Recent
Servers
, tap a server.
To connect to a new server, enter the server name or IP address in the
Server box.
3. Tap
Connect.
Disconnecting and Ending a Session
1. In the computer window, tap Start Shut Down.
2. The “Shut Down Windows” dialog box appears.
3. Tap
Log Off [username], and tap OK.
