Chevrolet 2007 MALIBU Automobile User Manual

Programmable Automatic
Door Locks
Your vehicle is programmed at the factory to lock all
doors automatically when the following are met:
all doors are closed
the ignition is on
the shift lever is moved out of PARK (P).
This feature cannot be disabled.
When the shift lever is moved back to PARK (P),
all doors will unlock.
If someone needs to exit the vehicle once the
doors are locked, have that person use the manual
lock knob or power door unlock switch.
The power door lock and unlock functions can be
programmed through prompts displayed on the
Driver Information Center (DIC). These prompts
allow you to choose various lock and unlock
settings. See DIC Vehicle Personalization
on page 225.
Rear Door Security Locks
Your vehicle has rear door security locks. These
prevent passengers from opening the rear
doors from the inside.
The rear door security
locks are located on the
inside edge of each
rear door. You
must open the rear
doors to access them.
The label showing
lock and unlock
positions is located
near the lock.
