■Selecting the area where you want to search
Information on the disc is arranged by area. When searching for your destination, your Navi-
gation System searches for it in the area currently selected. Therefore, if your destination is in
another area, you must change the area setting before starting the destination search. (Once
the area is selected, the Navigation System searches the destination in that area until the set-
ting is altered.)
Here, Address Search is given as an example:
1From the Main menu, select “New Destination”, and then select “Address Search”.
2 Select “Search area” and click the OK button.
3 Select the area you want to search, and click the OK button.
When you are returned to the previous display, proceed to the searching operation.
➲ When performing “Phone Number Search”, you do not need to specify the area.
■Perform the route calculation of the several route options, and
select one
You can get route calculations of several route options. By confirming route options on the
screen, you can select your favorite route. After route options are calculated, select the one
you want.
1 Change the setting of “Number of Routes” in “Settings” menu.
For the details of the method of changing the setting, see “Modifying the Default Set-
tings” on page 99 and “Number of Routes” on page 100.
2 Search your destination and set the route.
Calculated routes are shown in different colors (from two to six routes).
