Power tilt/sliding sunroof*
Synchronizing
The tilt/sliding sunroof must be
synchronized
ț after the battery has been
disconnected or discharged
ț after the tilt/sliding sunroof has been
closed manually (
page 481)
ț after a malfunction
ț if the tilt/sliding sunroof does not open
smoothly
̈ Remove the fuse for the tilt/sliding
sunroof from the fuse box
(
page 520).
̈ Reinsert the fuse in the main box.
̈ Switch on the ignition (page 39).
̈ Press and hold the sunroof switch in
the direction of arrow 3 (
page 259)
until the tilt/sliding sunroof is fully
raised at the rear.
̈ Hold the sunroof switch in direction of
arrow 3 for approximately 1 second.
̈ Open the tilt/sliding sunroof using the
Express-open feature (
page 259).
If the tilt/sliding sunroof opens com-
pletely, it is synchronized.
If the tilt/sliding sunroof does not open
completely:
̈ Repeat the above steps.
Warning! G
If the tilt/sliding sunroof encounters an
obstruction that blocks its path in a circum-
stance where you are closing the tilt/sliding
sunroof by moving the tilt/sliding sunroof
switch past the resistance point, or by
pressing and holding button on the
SmartKey, by pressing and holding the lock
button (vehicles with KEYLESS-GO*) on the
door handle, the automatic reversal function
will not operate.
The opening/closing procedure of the
tilt/sliding sunroof can be immediately
halted by releasing the switch or, if the
switch was moved past the resistance point
and released, by moving the switch in any
direction.
