Installing the air filterx

ಥ Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.
ಥ Fit a clean air filter.

If the air filter is not correctly mounted, dust and dirt can penetrate into the
engine and can cause damage.
ಥ Position and tighten the hose clip

ಥ Install the air filter box lid. ( P. 58)

ಥ Dispose of oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning substances, brake fluid, batteries, etc. according to regulations.

Do not use fuel or kerosene for cleaning the air filter.
ಥ Remove the air filter. ( P. 58)

ಥ Remove large pieces of dirt by shaking. Use a soft brush to clean the air filter.
ಥ Spray on the cleaner and let it penetrate for 10 minutes.

ಥ Rinse the air filter from the inside with a soft jet of water.
ಥ Shake off remaining water. Allow the air filter to dry.

Do not use compressed air for drying!
ಥ Spray the dry air filter carefully with filter oil.

ಥ Allow the filter oil to penetrate for 20 minutes.
ಥ Clean the air filter box.
ಥ Check the distribution of the filter oil.
» If unoiled areas are visible:
ಥ Oil the air filter again.
ಥ Wipe off excess filter oil.

Do not over-oil the air filter.
ಥ Check carburetor connection boot for damage and tightness.

Adjusting basic position of clutch lever

ಥ Adjust the basic setting of the clutch lever to your hand size by turning adjusting
screw
.
Info
Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the distance between the
clutch lever and the handlebar.
Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise to decrease the distance between
the clutch lever and the handlebar.
The range of adjustment is limited.
Turn the adjusting screw by hand only, and do not apply any force.
Do not make any adjustments while riding!
