Fuel tap

With the tap handle on the fuel tap, you can open or close the supply of fuel to the
carburetor.
Possible states
• Fuel supply closed OFF ಥNo fuel can flow from the tank to the carburetor.
• Fuel supply open ON ಥFuel can flow from the tank to the carburetor. The fuel tank
empties completely.
Opening filler cap

ಥ Press release button, turn filler cap counterclockwise and lift it free.
Closing filler cap
400199-11
ಥ Replace the filler cap and turn clockwise until the release button locks in place.

Run the fuel tank breather hose without kinks.
Choke
500179-10
The choke is fitted on the left side of the carburetor.
Activating the choke function frees an opening through which the engine can draw ex-
tra fuel. This gives a richer fuel-air mixture, which is needed for a cold start.

If the engine is warm, the choke function must be deactivated.
Possible states
• Choke function activated ಥThe choke lever is pulled out to the stop.
• Choke function activated ಥThe choke lever is pushed in to the stop.
