ಥ Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position. Move the fork legs to and fro in
the direction of travel.
No play should be noticeable in the steering head bearing.
» If there is noticeable play present:
ಥ Adjust play of the steering head bearing ( P. 28)
ಥ Move the handlebar to and fro over the entire steering range.
The handlebar must be able to move easily over the entire steering range. No
resting locations should be noticeable.
» If click positions are noticeable:
ಥ Adjust play of the steering head bearing ( P. 28)
ಥ Check the steering head bearing and replace if required.
ಥ Remove the motorcycle from the work stand. ( P. 21)

You can see the currently set offset if you remove screw.
The fork offset
has an impact on the handling of the vehicle. It is calculated from
the center of the fork leg to the center of the steering head bearing.
The fork offset can optionally be adjusted.
Marking
to the front gives greater stability on fast racetracks.
