OPERATION
B. ENGINE START MEMORIZING FOR VEHICLES WITH MANUAL
TRANSMISSIONS
The system senses the neutral transmission position automatically and there
is no prior set-up required. The system in the standard transmission vehicle
operates a process that when you exit the vehicle it senses and memorizes
the neutral transmission position. If the vehicle is equipped with a automatic
transmission, this process is omitted.
1. While engine is running with ignition key, set the emergency brake and
place the transmission in the neutral position.
2. Before turning off the engine, press the
button twice on the transmitter.
-- The LED indicator will flash 3 times to confirm it is entered.
3. Turn off the Ignition Key and remove it from the key cylinder.
-- The engine will continue running until the pre-programmed time elapsed
or a shutdown input is received.--
4. Exit the vehicle, close all doors.
-- The engine should still continue running, this is a normal operating
process.
5. Within 1 minute from the time of step 1, press the
button on the
transmitter to lock the doors.
6-1. If the engine shuts down immediately and the system is now ready
for next remote (or programmable) engine starts.
6-2. If the engine does not shut down immediately, the system has failed
in engine start memorize set up, repeat above process again.
If a door is opened after the above process, the prior memorization for
the next remote or programmed engine start sequence was delete and
the function shall not work until you repeat above process again.
Note: If the engine start memorize is set up, the dome light
supervision function will be temporarily by-passed.
