Connecting System to Your PC
1. It is possible to copy map data, music ormoving picture files into the built-in flash
memory inside the body or the SD/MMC memory card by connecting the system to a PC
via the USB cable.
It is not allowed to execute functions other thanfile copying and moving when the systemis
connectedto a PC via theUSB cable; the button,the touchscreen, thesoft reset mode andtheGPS
receiver becomeinoperable.
The system operates with the power fromtheUSBport of the PC whenthe systemis connectedto the
PC. Therefore, thesystemshall be connected withthe USB port where the power is normally
supplied. The system may not be capable of nor mal operation when connecting withthe USB hub.
The batteryis not recharged viathe USBport
2. After booting the PC, connect the system to the PC using the USB cable as shown
below.
3. When the system is succe ssfully connected to the PC, the screen displays as follows:
4. When the system is normally connected to the PC, you can see two ‘removable disk’
drives in the Windows Explorer window.
