6. To restore the upgrade and filter files from the tape device:
Note: This command assumes the upgrade and filter files reside under the
/home/u/NetCmmnd directory on your backup tape.
The upgrade and filter files are copied to /tmp/upgrade/home/u/NetCmmnd.
7. Proceed to “Accessing the Postinstallation Script”.
Accessing the Postinstallation Script
To access the postinstallation script:
1. Log on to the rmdhost system as root.
Note: The root password for this workstation is listed on the Upgrade Planning Form on
page 7.
2. Grant access to X-windows server to all users:
This step enables the postinstallation script to start up the Desktop in order to regenerate
the filters.
3. Ensure that the agcdump device, whether tape or disk file, is accessible to the database
workstation.
Note: The agcdump device name is listed on the Upgrade Planning Form on page 7.
4. Insert the COMMAND/POST 4.1 CD into the CD-ROM drive.
5. Mount the CD-ROM drive.
Mount the CD-ROM drive by issuing a mount command at the command line or through
the CDE windowing interfaces.
6. Change to the upgrade directory on the CD.
7. At the command line, invoke the postinstallation script:
# tar -xvf /dev/rmt/0mn home/u/NetCmmnd
# xhost +
# mount -F cdfs /dev/dsk/c1t2d0 /mnt
# cd /mnt/upgrade
# ./Post41Install
