Backing Up the Master and agc Databases
To back up the master and agc databases:
1. At the prompt displayed in Step 7 on page 12, type y and press Return to continue.
You are prompted for the Sybase password:
Note: The Sybase system administration password is listed on the Upgrade Planning Form
on page 7. If you do not know the password, exit this procedure now and obtain the
password.
2. Type the Sybase system administration password and press Return.
After you type the password, the script connects to the master database and to the agc
database. COMMAND/POST is then stopped. The following messages are displayed:
The following additional message and prompt are displayed to allow you to back up your
databases using the preinstallation script:
3. Perform one of the following steps:
If you already have a current backup of your databases:
a) At the prompt, type 2 and press Return.
The following message and prompt are displayed:
b) Proceed to “Creating the Postinstallation Files” on page 15.
If you do not have a current backup of your databases:
a) Type 1 and press Return to back up the databases.

Stopping COMMAND/POST
Prior to installing your COMMAND/POST 4.1 you need to have
a good DB dump of the Master and AGC databases. If you
already have a dump of your Sybase system you can skip
this step.
