Using Turn Preview and the Directions List
Turn Preview and the Directions List are both described in Sec. 2. The
main navigation mode of the iWAY is the Map Display with its Overlay
Data and voice instructions. The goal of the Map Display is to provide
you a constant awareness of your current position on your route, and a
general sense of the larger route. Turn Preview and the Directions List
are designed to give you slightly different information from the basic
Map Display navigation.
The Directions List is shown left; a Turn Preview is shown right.
Turn Preview allows you to leave your current position to focus mi-

The Directions List, on the other hand, gives you a detailed description
of the entire route – more information than you can see in the basic
Map Display. The Directions List tells you every step of the way, so you
can get a very good idea what to expect further down the road.
The path described in the Directions List parallels the gray route line
on your Map Display, and every entry in the list is shown on the map's
route as a light dot, as we mentioned. You can select any turn in the
Directions List to open a Turn Preview screen for that instruction.

read through the steps to see if it generally matches the path you would
