Selecting the beeper action
Set System Page
The System Page allows you to select the GPS Mode, Beeper, and Language. You can
also enter and view Owner Information and reset the unit to the defaults.
GPS Mode: Enable (‘NORMAL’) and disable (‘OFF’) the GPS Receiver. You can also enable
WAAS, Battery Save, or Demo modes. Refer to the following page.
Beeper: When ‘KEY AND MESSAGE’ is selected the unit beeps then a key is pressed and
when a message is displayed, such as “Weak GPS Signals”. When ‘MESSAGE ONLY’ is
selected, the unit only beeps when a message is displayed. Select ‘OFF’ to turn the beep
completely off.
Battery: Select the battery type (‘ALKALINE’ or ‘NIMH’). This selection must correspond
to the type of batteries you are currently using.
Language: Select the language for the display.
Owner Info: Enter up to three lines of owner information. You can select to display the
information at power up (‘SHOW’) or not display the information at power up (‘HIDE’).
Defaults: Press ENTER to set the unit’s System settings to the factory defaults.
