off tool as described, seek the help of a trained professional. ALWAYS wear safety
glasses when working with or around power tools.
Remove Slash Guard/Dust Shield
Use a 10mm wrench or sockett to remove the
bolts holding the dust shield
Use a cut-off wheel to cut the edge of the shield
in the area shown. Cut as far as possible without
cutting into the spindle or upright.
Use a plier to twist un-cut portion of
the shield until it tears through.
Rotate the shield and make a second cut far enough
from the first that when the cut section is removed
the shield can be worked off the upright.
