4.2.7.15 PF Roller Removal
1. Remove the platen. (See Section 4.2.7.14.)
2. Remove the screw securing the paper support lever to the printer
mechanism, and remove the paper hold lever along with the stay.

3. From the back of the printer mechanism, release the torsion springs
securing the paper guides (upper) to release the paper guides
(upper).

4. Pull all the paper guides (upper) out to the front side of the printer
mechanism (paper ejection side).
5. Remove the tension spring stretching the encoder belt from the
back of the printer mechanism.

6. Remove two screws securing the top frame and remove the top
frame.

Paper Guides (Upper)
CAUTION
When installing the paper guide located on the left
edge (HP side), be sure to insert it from the rear side of
the printer mechanism: because it has a cutout in
which the actuator for the PE sensor falls, and if the
paper guide is removed to the rear, the actuator will be
damaged.
