4.2.7.3 PF Motor Removal
1. Remove the printer mechanism. (See Section 4.2.2.)
2. Remove the PF roller drive gear from the PF roller shaft.

3. Remove three screws securing the PF motor to the printer
mechanism, and remove the PF motor.

CAUTION
A high-precision gear is used for the PF roller drive
gear. Therefore, if the PF roller drive gear has been
removed, it must not be used again. Neglecting this
may cause a printer malfunction.
When installing a new PF roller drive gear, be sure to
push it intensively by its center area, not forcing a
push by its edge.

CAUTION
PF motor pinion gear as well as the PF roller drive
roller is a high-precision gear. Therefore, be careful
not to damage the gear by hitting it by the frame
edges.
When installing the PF motor, be sure not to touch the
pinion gear surface with a screw driver.
