POTENTIAL HAZARD
T raveling downhill improperly.
WHAT CAN
HAPPEN
Improperly descending a hill could cause loss o f control or
overturn.
HOW TO AVOID THE
HAZARD
Always fo llow proper procedures for traveling down hills as
described in the owner’s manual. NOTE: A special technique
is required when braking while trav eling downhill. See page 62.
Always chec k the terr ain carefully befor e descending a hill.
Shift your weight backward.
Never tr avel down a hill at high speed.
Avoid traveling down a hill at an angle, which would cause the
vehicle to lean sharply to one side. Travel straight down the hill
when possible.
WARNING
