To perform a soft reset, use the stylus to press the "reset" point on the back of your
ViaMichelin Navigation X-930 device.
Soft reset closes the application and restarts ViaMichelin Navigation.
Comment:
Only procedures running at the time of the reset may be lost (e.g. the current route).
10.3.2. Hard reset
Hard reset restores your product to its initial conditions. After this operation, you will
need to reinstall the software.
It is a two-step process:
- Simultaneously hold down the volume reduce button, the on/off button and the
"reset" button (using the stylus) for a few seconds to switch off the device.
- Simultaneously hold down the volume increase button, the on/off button and the
"reset" button (using the stylus) to restart the device.
Comment:
Before performing a hard reset, we advise you to remove the SD card. Reinstall it after the
hard reset.
The saved addresses, the POIs installed with POI Manager and the destinations history are
retained. The installation settings (languages, speed limits, time, etc.) are deleted.
To perform a hard reset, disconnect the ViaMichelin Navigation X-930 from the household
power or the cigar lighter plug.
10.4. Practical information
PC requirements:
- PC with 256 MB RAM or more
- Minimum 200 MHz Pentium processor
- DVD-ROM drive
- Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP
- Hard disk capacity required: 1.5 GB
