Simulator Mode (Vehicle Navigation only)
This option provides a way to set the Magellan CrossoverGPS into simulation mode. In
simulation mode you can create a route and observe the Magellan CrossoverGPS in action
as it simulates travelling along the route.
Simulation: Check “Propose simulator mode when calculating a route.” to turn the
simulator on. When on, you will be asked each time you create a route if you want
it to be simulated.
Menu Colours
The Magellan CrossoverGPS has four colour schemes built in; Default, Pastel, Forest and
Desert.
Menu Colours: Select the desired colour theme.
Tone Options
The Magellan CrossoverGPS uses an alert tone to indicate that a manoeuvre is upcoming
or has been completed. You can select the type of alert tone to be used.
Tone Options: Select Bell, Chime or Beep.
Navigation Instruction (Vehicle Navigation only)
You can select what will be announced while routing. You may turn ‘Announce street
name” on (checked) or off and you may turn “Announce exit sliproad” on (checked) or off.
Please note that the announcement of street names is currently available only when
travelling in France, Great Britain, Spain, Germany and Italy.
GPS Options
You can check the status of the GPS signals or set a starting location for the GPS receiver.
GPS Status: Displays high-level information about the satellite and the signal it is
transmitting.
Set GPS Position: This is only useful if you have travelled a great distance with the
Magellan CrossoverGPS off and it is having problems receiving GPS signals. You
will be prompted to enter an address for your present location that the Magellan
CrossoverGPS can base its satellite search from. (It is extremely unlikely that you
will ever need to use this option unless instructed to do so by a service technician
if you are experiencing difficulties.)
