13.7 On the initial Group viewer screen locate the Com Port Box and ensure that a
Com number is visible, if not ensure proper USB connection with the GPS-MIC-1
and that you have loaded the USB drivers for that device.
13.8 Below the Com Port box un-check the Auto request position box.
13.9 On the left hand side of the “Group Viewer” window you will notice a selection
called KML, single click this icon.
13.10 A new window will appear within the “Group Viewer” program. In the new
KML window their will be a button labeled “Browse” in the top right corner of the
window.
Click on this button and a new window will appear for you to select where you want
your KML files to be saved and what your file name will be for your data that will be
recorded for the mapping software.
Once you are done naming the file click on “Save” and a new window will appear
asking you if you would like to overwrite the data. Select yes.
