The mechanism to add entries is the same as selecting a destination. For
example, to select the destination, you have the following options:
• Address/Intersection
• Point of Interest
• Previous Destination
• Freeway Entrance/Exit
• Current Location
For entering/selecting address book entries, refer to “Selecting a Destination”
on page 21 for descriptions of these options. Also, refer to “List Mode vs. Spell
Mode” on page 16 for more details.
After selecting a destination to add, a Name Address Book Entry screen is
displayed, allowing you to spell a personalized name for the selected
destination. Spell a name for the entry that will be easy for you to remember.
Freeway Entrance/Exit
If you want to select a freeway entrance or exit, or the intersection of two
freeways as a destination, select the “Freeway Entrance/Exit” option from the
Main Menu/Where do you want to go? screen. A Select Freeway screen is
displayed.

When first displayed, the Select Freeway screen is in “List Mode.” To switch
to “Spell Mode,” press the button. Refer to “List Mode vs. Spell Mode” on
page 16 for more details on using the different modes.
After selecting a freeway name, a Select Entrance/Exit screen is displayed.
