It may be necessary to clearance the lower ball
joint slightly, to clear the inboard face of the
AeroRotor during full suspension travel. A coarse
file can remove the material, although a power
grinder is more efficient, if used properly.
Remove ridge in this area
Ridge Width
Install the rotor, and check the proximity of the
lower ball joint to the inner rotor face. Turn the
wheel lock-to-lock, to determine how far around
the front and back edge needs to be clearanced.
Remove the lip which protrudes around the outer
edge of the ball joint (the approximate area is
shown in the photograph to the left).

With the suspension at FULL DROOP, there
should be a clearance of 3.5 - 4.8mm (1/8 - 3/16)
between the inner face of the rotor and the outer
diameter of the lower ball joint.
