1. Remove the shroud. (See page 46 for re-
moval procedures.)
2. Unhook the air filter case cover fasteners.
3. Remove the headlight unit bolt on each
side of the snowmobile and loosen the
quick fastener screws shown on the top
cover.
4. Slightly lift up the headlight unit, and then
remove the air filter case cover.
5. Lift up the air filter element frame and
check the air filter element. If there is any
snow on the air filter element, remove the
element, brush off the snow, and then in-
stall the air filter element.
6. Place the air filter element frame in the
original position, and then install the air
filter case cover by hooking the fasteners.
7. Install the headlight unit, making sure to
fit the slots on its bottom over the projec-
tions on its stay.
