MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
Tires
WARNING
Improperly ins talled wheels c an adversely affect tire wear and
vehicle handling, which can r esult in s erious injury or death.
Always ensure that all nuts are torqued to specification. Do not
service axle nuts that have a cotter pin ins talled. See y our
Polaris dealer.
Wheel Removal
1. Stop the engine, place the t ransmission in gear and l ock t he
parking brake.
2. Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.
3. Elevate the side of the vehicle by placing a suitable s tand under the
frame.
4. Remove the wheel nuts and washers. Remove the wheel.
Wheel Installation
1. With the transmission
in gear and the parking
brake locked, place the
wheel in the correct
position on t he wheel
hub. Be sure the valve
stem is toward the
outside and rotation
arrows on the tire point
toward forward
rotation.
2. Attach the wheel nuts
and w ashers and finger
tighten.
3. Carefully lower the vehicle to t he ground.
4. Torque t he wheel nuts acco rding to the specifications on page 8 8.
