13. Remove the carburetor insulator block using a T-25
torx driver. See Figure 8.7.
14. Rotate the flywheel so that the magnets are away
from the module.
15. Remove the two screws that secures the ignition
module to the block using a T-25 torx driver.
See Figure 8.8.
16. Remove the module.
17. Remove the flywheel by applying a sharp blow to
the crankshaft while gently prying with a pry bar.
The flywheel will loosen then lift it off. See Figure
8.9.
NOTE:
If replacing a short block, exchange the
crankcase and cylinder with the short block
and follow the previous steps in reverse
order.

Never hit the
crank shaft with
a hammer!
use a brass punch
! CAUTION! CAUTION
Never strike the crankshaft
directly with a hammer. To pre-
vent damage to the crankshaft
use a brass punch or a piece of wood
between the hammer and the crankshaft.
