Keyboard Basics
If you have used the keyboard on your smartphone you will find the keyboard on the Magellan
SmartGPS very easy to use. Since there are a few minor differences, and for those who have not used
a smartphone keyboard, the basics of the Magellan SmartGPS keyboard will be explained here.

The Enter key will dim when it is not available to be used.
Using the Keyboard to Enter an Address
Begin entering the name of the city. You do not need
to capitalize the first letter of the city name.
(Optionally, if you know the zip code for the city, tap
the ?123 button and begin typing the zip code.)
As you type, the Magellan SmartGPS will begin
displaying possible cities from the letters you’ve
entered. It will also grey out any letters on the
keyboard that cannot be used to spell out a known
city.
