POWER
To apply power to the Magellan eXplorist 350H receiver press and
hold the POWER button for 2-3 seconds. The start up screen will be
displayed while the software loads.
Turning the receiver off: Press the POWER button to turn the receiver
off. The Power Off screen is displayed with two options for how the
device will be powered off; ACTIVE SUSPEND or POWER OFF. Active
Suspend will continue tracking your activity but turn the display off,
extending battery life. (Pressing the POWER button quickly while in
Active Suspend turns the display back on.)
Press and hold the POWER button to power the device completely off,
skipping the Active Suspend option.
Hard Reset: In the unlikely event that the device becomes
“locked up” or is behaving erratically, you can perform a hard
reset which will probably cure the problem. Open the USB
cover and locate the small hole that provides access to the
reset button. Insert a paper clip or other small object in the
hole and quickly press the reset button. The device will turn
off and then turn back on. Note: If planning a trip you will
lose all information for that trip.
