This chart is provided to help you determine the standard time offset settings for your current
location in order to set the correct time on the Time Setup Page. To change the UTC (Universal Time
Coordinate) Offset, if necessary, press the OPTION key to access the Options Menu. Then scroll down
to the System Setup option, press ENTER to access and then tab over to the ‘Time’ page. Highlight the
UTC Offset field and press ENTER to enter the appropriate offset value from the chart below using the
UP or DOWN areas of the ROCKER kepad . To determine your longitudinal zone, press MARK to
mark your position select ‘Show Lat/Lon’ from the options menu and observe the longitude value. It
should fall between one of the sets of values on the chart.
To determine your longitudinal zone: press the
MARK key to mark a waypoint and observe the
longitudinal coordinates by selecting “Show Lat/
Lon” from the options menu.
Match it to a set of values on the chart to the
right and select the Offset value to be entered
in the UTC Offset field on the Time tab of the
System Setup menu.
Because Time Zone boundaries do not always follow vertical longitudinal lines you may, on
occasion, need to adjust the offset by one value in either direction.
