Owner Recognition is a feature available exclusively from Directed.
Using the Directed Bitwriter, a hand-held programming tool, your
dealer can program many of the system settings. The programmer
makes it possible to program different settings for each 2-way remote
that is used with the system. Then, whenever a specific 2-way remote
is used, the system will recall the settings assigned to that 2-way
remote. Owner Recognition lets up to four users of the system have
different settings that meet their specific needs. It is almost like
having four separate alarms in your vehicle, one for each user.

This Directed system will store its current state to non-volatile memory.
If power is lost and then reconnected, the system will recall the stored
state from memory. This means if the unit is in Valet
®
Mode and the
battery is disconnected for any reason, such as servicing the car, when
the battery is reconnected the unit will still be in Valet
®
Mode. This
applies to all states of the system including arm, disarm, VRS
®
, and
Valet
®
Mode.
NOTE: Owner Recognition cannot be programmed without a
Directed Bitwriter and the necessary software. Check with your
dealer for more information.
