7.4.2 General
The external handset is designed for use together with the hands-free car kit. The
external handset includes a microphone, an earphone and a reed switch. The hand-
set kit contains a handset with a cable and a modular connector, a cradle, and
mounting devices. A reed element shall be used to switch the audio signals to the
handset when the handset is hooked off.
