Outlet Adjustment
Use the louvers located on the air outlets to change
the direction of the airflow.
Operation Tips
•
Clear away any ice, snow, or leaves from the air
inlets at the base of the vehicle that may block
the flow of air into your vehicle.
• Use of non-GM approved hood deflectors may
adversely affect the performance of the system.
• Keep the path under the front seats clear of
objects to help circulate the air inside of your
vehicle more effectively.
Passenger Compartment Air Filter
The passenger compartment air is routed through
a passenger compartment filter. The filter removes
certain particles from the air, including pollen and dust
particles. Reductions in airflow, which may occur
more quickly in dusty areas, indicate that the filter
needs to be replaced.
The filter should be replaced as part of routine
scheduled maintenance. See Scheduled Maintenance
on page 6-4 for replacement intervals. To find out
what type of filter to use, see Normal Maintenance
Replacement Parts on page 6-16.
The passenger compartment air filter can be accessed
from under the hood.
1. Remove the push
pins from the air filter
access panel.
2. Remove the air filter access panel.
