DAB TUNER
The following explains how to use Pioneer AV Head Unit (AVH-P6400CD or AVH-P6400) to
control a DAB tuner, which is sold separately. For details of DAB tuner-specific operation/fea-
tures, see your DAB tuner’s manual.
This cannot be used unless AV Head Unit is combined and the source unit is connected by
IP-BUS.
Pioneer AV Head Unit (AVH-P6400CD or AVH-P6400) does not have the language filter
function.
With Pioneer AV Head Unit (AVH-P6400CD or AVH-P6400), you can operate three addi-
tional functions: available service list, available PTY search, displaying dynamic label.
BAND
Shows which band the DAB is tuned to, DAB1, DAB2, DAB3.
PRESET NUMBER
Shows what preset has been selected.
Service label
Shows to which Service the tuner is tuned.
Icons for AS (Announcement support)
The icon changes depending on the setting of the announcement support function and the
status of the incoming data.
AS (Announcement support) status Icon (ex: Traffic icon)
(White characters) : Information interruption is ON, but you will not receive
data since there is none.
(Icon only) : Even if the information interruption is turned OFF, data
is still received. (You can receive when information
interruption is turned ON.)
(Blue characters) : The information interruption is turned ON, and currently
receiving data.
(Flash) : Information interruption is turned ON, but reception has
deteriorated, so it is searching for another available fre-
quency.
(No display) : Information interruption is turned OFF, and no data is
being received.
