4. Memory Card
To navigate to your destination you will first need to insert the memory card in to your iCN.
Canadian Users:
Your iCN came with a memory card containing a preactivated map of Canada and Alaska, and a
Basemap of the continental United States (for more information on Basemaps, see page 71).
To navigate within the continental United States using the detailed state maps on the enclosed
CDs, you must first install the maps of one or more states to your iCN using Smart Desktop:
• To install Smart Desktop on your computer, see page 64.
• To install a map on the enclosed memory card (or a blank card purchased separately), see
page 67.
Alternatively, you can purchase separately United States multi-state regions preloaded on
memory cards.
United States Users:
Your iCN came with a memory card containing a Basemap of the continental United States (for more
information on Basemaps, see page 71).
To navigate within the continental United States and Canada using the detailed maps on the
enclosed CDs, you must first install one or more states to your iCN using Smart
Desktop:

Inserting Memory Card
Gently insert the card in the SD/MMC slot with the label facing the front of the iCN.
Removing Memory Card
Gently push down on the top edge of the card to release it, and pull it out of the slot.
